A Safe and Supportive Place to Begin Again
HomeSafe San Jose provides affordable housing and support for women and children who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic violence.
The community offers 24 affordable homes, along with shared spaces, on-site childcare, and access to supportive services. The goal is to provide a stable place where families can feel safe, maintain their privacy, and build a stronger future.
HomeSafe uses a shared-housing model. Residents have their own private home while also having access to shared community spaces and resources.
Important: HomeSafe is Referral-Based
HomeSafe San Jose does not accept applications directly from the general public.
Applicants must be referred to the program by an approved service provider or partner agency.

HomeSafe San Jose is located in the 95116 area of East San Jose.
The neighborhood provides access to many of the services families use every day, including shopping, restaurants, schools, parks, public transportation, and community resources.
Its San Jose location also provides access to services throughout Santa Clara County.
For residents rebuilding their lives, having access to transportation and community resources can make everyday tasks easier and help families stay connected to the services they need.
